Beijing, December 9 (Xinhua) — The "Rhythm of Winter 2025" International Art Festival was held in the border city of Heihe, northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, on Saturday. Around 300 young and emerging artists from China and Russia presented their programs featuring dance, instrumental music, and vocal performances.
According to local media, the festival was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere. A total of 15 artistic performances were presented, immersing young Chinese and Russian audiences in the charisma of the two countries' distinctive performing arts.
"This is my first time in Heihe. The folk dances and instrumental performances by my Chinese peers were very impressive," said Zalina, a Russian girl who is delighted to have the opportunity to perform on the festival stage and hopes to visit China more often for cultural exchanges.
"This event opened my eyes to the remarkable talent of young Russian artists and the charm of unique Russian culture. I look forward to participating in the next festival like this," Chinese girl Tian Xinrui told a journalist.
The International Art Festival "Rhythm of Winter" is an important component of the thematic cultural and educational program "China and Russia are Close in Ballroom Fun," offered by the international travel agency "Heihe Zhigong" and aimed primarily at youth and teenagers of the two countries.
To date, 16 events have been held in both countries under this program, with over 3,000 attendees. These events are designed to intensify cross-border cultural exchanges and simultaneously stimulate tourism consumption, thereby promoting high-quality integrated cultural and tourism development between the two countries, noted Bao Zhitong, CEO of the aforementioned travel agency.
