Moscow, December 9 /Xinhua/ — An An-22 Antey military transport aircraft crashed in the Ivanovo region, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.
"An An-22 military transport aircraft crashed in the Ivanovo region during a test flight following repairs. The plane crashed in an uninhabited area," the department said in a statement.
A search and rescue team and a commission from the Russian Aerospace Forces were dispatched to the crash site to determine the cause of the incident and the fate of the crew.
