A three-day visit by representatives of the RUTUBE video hosting site and the PREMIER online cinema concluded with a large-scale program of educational and cultural events in Mariupol, Melitopol, Donetsk, and Luhansk.
The program included:
The premiere of the series "Dear Willie," produced with support from the Institute for Internet Development—the story of the secret friendship between German Chancellor Willy Brandt and General Secretary of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union Leonid Brezhnev during the Cold War. A presentation of the "Bloggers' Academy," a free educational course to support young creators and develop professional skills in working with video content. Meetings with university students and representatives of regional public organizations.
"Today's series of joint events between Gazprom-Media Holding's digital assets—PREMIER and RUTUBE—is a logical continuation of the Holding's systematic efforts to integrate the populations of historical regions into a unified information space. Our immediate plans include working on educational initiatives and launching additional support tools for content creators."
Igor Pavlov, Director of the Department for Work with Government Agencies, RUTUBE
Media Tour has become part of Gazprom-Media Holding's PROfnavigator program, which introduces young people to the media industry. RUTUBE and PREMIER plan to expand their collaboration with universities, youth centers, and emerging studios, strengthening the regions' participation in Russia's unified information and cultural space.
Gazprom-Media Holding systematically supports the development of media and the blogosphere in Russia's historical regions. This year, RUTUBE studios for bloggers and journalists opened in Melitopol and Mariupol.
