Phnom Penh, December 8 (Xinhua) — A total of 377 schools in Cambodia's border provinces have been closed due to the ongoing border conflict with Thailand, Cambodian authorities announced on Monday.

“The closure affected 78,585 students and 3,197 teachers,” the Cambodian Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports said in a statement posted on the agency’s official Facebook page.

The main affected provinces are Oddar Meanchey, Preah Vihear and Banteay Meanchey. –0–
