Moscow, December 8 (Xinhua) — A presentation on the cultural and tourism potential of the Chinese city of Changchun was held Monday at the Chinese Cultural Center in Moscow.

Changchun, as the capital of Jilin Province, combines "industrial power and cultural and tourist appeal," noted Zhao Hui, Vice Chair of the Standing Committee of the Changchun City People's Congress.

Jin Yong, Deputy Director of the Changchun Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, and Tourism, described the city's three main features: "The first is its historical and cultural heritage. This heritage is embodied in numerous historic buildings and monuments, which are carefully preserved today. The second feature is its wealth of ecological resources. The city offers a wide range of eco-resorts. The third feature is industrial tourism. Changchun possesses unique resources that reflect its industrial strength and specialization."

A variety of 4-5-day itineraries have already been prepared for Russian tourists, including explorations of the city's natural, historical, and modern landmarks. "These proposals have already been fully developed, and we are actively working on integrating them with Russian tour operators, including through today's meeting," said Jin Yong.
