The final round of the annual "Golden Faculty" creative competition, one of the most exciting, anticipated, and beloved events in student life, was held at SPbGASU. It brings together students from various years and fields, providing an opportunity to discover their talents and experience the unity of the university.
This year, the Automobile and Road Engineering Faculty (ADF) won the Gold Cup for presenting a sophisticated, atmospheric, and emotionally charged program dedicated to Eastern Siberia and the Far East.
A creative journey through the regions of Russia
As per tradition, each faculty prepared its own performance, reflecting the culture, character, and energy of a selected Russian region. The students immersed the audience in the atmosphere:
• Central Russia – its calm grandeur, traditions and warmth.• The North and Karelia – the land of lakes, taiga, cold and ancient northern legends.• The Caucasus – the land of mountains, endless traditions, strength and hospitality.• The South of Russia – the rhythm of freedom, sunny valleys and southern flavor.• The Urals and Western Siberia – a harsh region that combines the ancient power of nature and industrial character.• Eastern Siberia and the Far East – territories of volcanoes, ancient peoples, ocean winds and natural grandeur.
Each faculty created its own artistic world, using music, dance, theatrical elements, and visual imagery. But it was the ADF that impressed the jury and audience the most, capturing the region's strength and energy through the dynamic production, symbolism, and the performers' vibrant energy. Their performance was cohesive, ambitious, and emotionally charged, earning them a well-deserved victory.
The Audience Choice Award went to last year's winner, the Faculty of Economics and Management, whose team transported viewers to the harsh lands of the Urals and Western Siberia.
A tradition that unites generations of students
The Golden Faculty became an integral part of SPbGASU's life in 2015, as a celebration of the SPbGASU Student Council's birthday, and has since been held annually (with a break in 2021 due to the pandemic). The Faculty of Civil Engineering was the first winner, with the Faculty of Forensic Expertise and Law in Construction and Transport taking the gold cup twice, the Faculty of Economics and Management twice, and the Faculty of Architecture three times. The victory of the Faculty of Automobile and Road Engineering in 2025 is another significant event in the competition's history and an excellent start for new creative achievements.
We expect the tenth, anniversary “Golden Faculty” in 2026.
We thank all participants for an unforgettable creative evening and congratulate the winners!
