The Moscow-based company "Grinding Machines" has developed a new system for the Russian market, capable of fully automated machining of the most complex components for the aviation and energy industries. Serial production is planned for 2026, according to the Moscow Government Minister and Head of the Moscow Department of Investment and Industrial Policy. Anatoly Garbuzov.
"Machine tool manufacturing is one of the priority areas of Moscow's industrial policy. The city is home to over 70 companies producing machine tools, tools, and high-tech robotic systems. Next year, a Moscow-based company plans to launch mass production of grinding machines, unique in Russia, for machining critical components in the aviation and energy industries. This year, the development was among the winners of the national award 'Best Industrial Design of Russia,'" said Anatoly Garbuzov.
The system is designed for machining high-precision engine components, such as rotor and compressor blades. The equipment is compatible with over 10 types of materials, from hardened steel to heat-resistant nickel alloys.
The model utilizes fully automated deep-cleaning technology. The machine is equipped with a Russian-made motorized spindle and a proprietary tool magazine. Electronic control of the mechanism ensures consistent precision, eliminating human error.
"The creation of the new SXS 512 machine is the result of the implementation of the Rostec state corporation's industrial policy, aimed at strengthening technological sovereignty and developing the domestic machine tool industry. The Stan holding, which includes the manufacturer, creates equipment capable of providing enterprises with world-class technology in terms of precision, productivity, and reliability," emphasized Denis Chernyavsky, Deputy CEO of the holding.
Moscow is Russia's largest industrial and scientific-engineering center. Around 150 high-tech enterprises open in the city annually. Currently, nearly 4,600 industrial companies operate in the capital, employing approximately 755,000 people. Today, manufacturers have access to over 20 effective support programs, including a preferential investment loan program, offset contracts, and other instruments.
