Dushanbe, December 4 (Xinhua) — The combined gross domestic product (GDP) of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) member countries increased by 2.2 percent in January-September 2025 compared to the same period last year, the press service of the CIS Executive Committee reported on Thursday.

According to the Executive Committee, most CIS countries maintained positive economic momentum. The highest growth rates were recorded in Kyrgyzstan, where GDP increased by 10 percent year-on-year. In Tajikistan, growth was 8.2 percent, and in Uzbekistan, 7.6 percent.

During the reporting period, growth in industrial production, agriculture, and retail trade continued. Across the CIS as a whole, industrial output increased by 1.4 percent, agricultural output by 2.4 percent, and retail turnover by 3.3 percent. –0–
