BEIJING, Dec. 4 (Xinhua) — Zhao Leji, chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC), met with French President Emmanuel Macron in Beijing on Thursday.

Zhao Leji stated that China is willing to work with France to conscientiously implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, carry forward the original spirit of establishing Sino-French diplomatic relations, strengthen friendly exchanges, deepen mutually beneficial cooperation, expand cultural and humanitarian contacts, strengthen dialogue and coordination in multilateral fields, and promote the stable and positive development of bilateral relations.
