BEIJING, Dec. 4 (Xinhua) — An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.0 jolted Akchi County in Kizilsu Kyrgyz Autonomous Prefecture of northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region at 3:44 p.m. Beijing time, the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC) said.
According to CENC, the epicenter of the tremors was located at 41.13 degrees north latitude and 78.40 degrees east longitude. The hypocenter was located at a depth of 10 kilometers. -0-
