In anticipation of the New Year, several metro stations have already been decorated with themed decorations, according to the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry. Maxim Liksutov.

"We'll decorate over 100 metro stations for the New Year and install over 50 themed installations. We carefully store and reuse most of the decorative elements in future years, allowing us to maintain an environmentally friendly approach to the design. Photo zones and themed installations help passengers get into the New Year's spirit," noted Maxim Liksutov.

For example, over 400 decorative elements were installed at Trubnaya station. These include large, three-dimensional figures in the form of Christmas tree decorations, gifts, snowmen, bells, and lighted globes.

At Mayakovskaya station, a "Santa Claus Residence" photo zone was set up, complete with a matching interior, fireplace, three decorated Christmas trees, a chair, and fake presents. At Michurinsky Prospekt station, a New Year's fairytale-themed photo zone was also created, complete with a Nutcracker statue, Christmas trees, and backdrop decorations.

The facade of Krasnopresnenskaya station now features three-dimensional illuminated elements in the form of New Year's decorations and the Moscow transport logo.

New Year's decorations will also appear on other Moscow public transportation systems. Installations and decorative elements will be installed in stages throughout December.
