JERUSALEM, December 3 (Xinhua) — Chinese-made vehicles accounted for 81 percent of all electric vehicles sold in Israel from January to November this year, according to data released Tuesday by the Israel Vehicle Importers Association.

From January to November, a total of 55,232 electric vehicles were sold in the country, including 44,752 Chinese-made electric vehicles.

BYD Auto led the market, selling 8,069 units of eight electric models. It was followed by Chinese brands Chery and Xpeng, each selling over 6,000 vehicles in the first 11 months.

American manufacturer Tesla took the next place with 4,511 cars sold, ahead of Chinese automakers Geely, Lynk

In the broader auto market, including gasoline and hybrid models, China also led with 96,208 vehicles sold in the first 11 months, followed by the Republic of Korea (51,420 vehicles) and Japan (39,592 vehicles). –0–
