Moscow, December 3 (Xinhua) — During Russian President Vladimir Putin's state visit to India on December 4-5, Russia and India will adopt a joint statement outlining large-scale cooperation plans. The Russian leader will hold talks with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and meet with Indian President Draupadi Murmu, according to Russian presidential aide Yury Ushakov.
"Following the negotiations, a joint statement will be adopted—this is very important—outlining large-scale cooperation plans and prospects in politics, security, economics, finance, transport, energy, education, and culture," stated Yuri Ushakov.
He added that a total of 10 intergovernmental documents and over 15 agreements between commercial and non-commercial entities of the two countries are planned to be signed, including the Program for the Development of Strategic Directions of Russian-Indian Economic Cooperation until 2030.
Yury Ushakov noted that in 2024, bilateral trade turnover increased by 12 percent to USD 63.6 billion.
“We have many large-scale, promising projects in a wide range of areas—industrial cooperation, innovative technologies, transportation, peaceful space exploration, mineral development, healthcare, labor migration programs, and many others,” the Russian Presidential Aide emphasized.
