Meerkats are among the zoo's most popular inhabitants. These small mammals are renowned for their activity, curiosity, and complex family bonds. They have been provided with comfortable conditions that mimic their natural habitat. In spacious enclosures with a system of burrows and raised platforms, they can dig tunnels, stand upright on their hind legs, and bask in the sun during warmer months and under special lamps during colder weather.
