Berlin, December 2 (Xinhua) – Germany opposes any "peace dictate" imposed over Ukraine's head. German Chancellor Friedrich Merz stated this at a joint press conference with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk in Berlin on Monday.
"There will be no solution for Ukraine and Europe without Ukrainians and without Europeans," said F. Merz, adding that Germany and its allies intend to continue supporting Ukraine and bring Moscow to the negotiating table.
F. Merz noted that recent discussions in Geneva had led to initial progress in developing a peace plan, adding that Germany was in constant contact with Ukraine and the United States at the advisory level.
D. Tusk also expressed support for Ukraine, noting the efforts of Poland and Germany to jointly strengthen European security. –0–
