Cairo, December 2 (Xinhua) — Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi on Monday inaugurated the opening of the 4th Egypt Defense Expo (EDEX-2025) here, the Egyptian leader's office said in a statement.

During the opening ceremony, A.F. el-Sisi toured Egyptian pavilions showcasing domestic military products and developments in other fields, and was briefed on various projects, including a joint initiative to produce howitzers, the statement said.

Egyptian Minister of Defense and Military Production Abdel Magid Saqr noted that the exhibition has become a key global platform for showcasing advanced defense technologies.

A. M. Sakr emphasized that in the context of regional and global challenges, it is extremely important to maintain readiness to counter dangers and threats.

The four-day exhibition, held at the Egypt International Exhibition Centre, features over 400 defence and security companies showcasing the latest military technologies, equipment and systems for land, sea and air forces, and attracts military personnel, government officials, international delegations and industry specialists. –0–
