Hong Kong, November 28 (Xinhua) — The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR) has established a task force to launch a comprehensive investigation into alleged corruption related to a major renovation project at the fire-damaged Hongfuyuan residential complex in Dabu, Taipou, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region's Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) announced on Friday.
The agency said it had detained eight people involved in the project that same day, including engineering consultants, scaffolding subcontractors and middlemen. –0–
