BEIJING, November 28 (Xinhua) — China's international trade in goods and services reached nearly 4.29 trillion yuan (about 604.1 billion U.S. dollars) in October, according to official data released Friday by the State Administration of Foreign Exchange.
Exports of goods totaled approximately 2.16 trillion yuan, while imports exceeded 1.52 trillion yuan. This resulted in a surplus of 641.3 billion yuan.
Service exports reached 260.7 billion yuan and imports 340.4 billion yuan, resulting in a deficit of 79.7 billion yuan, the data showed.
In particular, in October, the trade volume of tourism services amounted to 175.1 billion yuan, transportation services – 170.5 billion yuan, and telecommunications, computer and information services – 65.8 billion yuan.
The department added that, in terms of US dollars, China's exports of goods and services in October amounted to US$341.6 billion, while imports amounted to US$262.5 billion, which resulted in a positive balance of US$79.2 billion. –0–
