BEIJING, November 28 (Xinhua) — China-Europe freight train X8086 departed the Qingbaijiang International Railway Port of Chengdu, capital of Southwest China's Sichuan Province, at 12:00 p.m. local time today. This brings the total number of China-Europe train departures since the launch of the logistics system to 120,000, with the cumulative value of freight transported exceeding $490 billion, according to data released Friday by China Railways (CR).
Today, the range of goods transported by China-Europe freight trains has expanded to 53 categories and over 50,000 different types of products. The main export cargoes are high-value-added goods, such as automobiles and auto parts, machinery, and electronics.
Currently, China-Europe freight train services cover 232 cities in 26 European countries and connect more than 100 cities in 11 Asian countries, injecting new impetus into promoting high-quality cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative and achieving a higher level of opening-up. -0-
