KUWAIT CITY, November 28 (Xinhua) — The Chinese Embassy in Kuwait hosted a Chinese cultural evening on Wednesday. The event featured Chinese cuisine, traditional music, and activities in Mandarin.

The evening's program included exhibitions, cooking stations, and performances in Mandarin, offering local audiences an immersive experience of traditional and contemporary Chinese culture.

A series of stage performances was the highlight of the evening. Students studying Chinese in Kuwait showcased their achievements. A children's choir opened the concert, followed by a piano performance of "Liang Zhu" (Butterflies in Love). The students also recited classic Chinese poems and shared stories of their personal experiences in China.

At cultural workshops, guests could learn about Chinese craftsmanship, receive personalized business cards written by teachers at the calligraphy station, and learn about traditional tea brewing methods at the tea art booth.

The food attracted a significant number of visitors. Five culinary stations featured classic Chinese dishes and appetizers, showcasing the diversity of Chinese cuisine.

Chargé d'Affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Kuwait, Liu Xiang, said at the event that the aim of the evening was to deepen mutual understanding between the peoples of the two countries using food as a bridge and culture as a connecting link.

He noted that China is willing to work with Kuwait to strengthen exchanges and mutual learning among civilizations, develop traditional friendship, and promote the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.
