The East Siberian Oil and Gas Company (part of Rosneft) has planted nearly a million conifer seedlings in Siberia. Reforestation activities in 2025 were carried out in the Achinsky and Karatuzsky forestry districts of Krasnoyarsk Krai. The total reforestation area exceeded 310 hectares.
Siberian spruce seedlings were selected for reforestation as the species best adapted to local soil and climate conditions. The oil workers also implemented agronomic management to improve the survival rate of the young trees. These measures are aimed at clearing the plantings of weeds and improving the soil, which will facilitate the successful establishment of the forest.
Over four years, Vostsibneftegaz's contribution to the restoration of Siberian forests amounted to 3.5 million coniferous trees on an area of more than 1,000 hectares.
