BEIJING, Nov. 27 (Xinhua) — The volume of import and export cargo passing through the Alashankou port in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region from January to October 2025 reached 24.792 million tonnes, up 5.2 percent year on year, China Central Television reported, citing local customs data.
Since this year, the Alashankou railway and road border crossing have been continuously optimizing customs clearance services, implementing a "smart railway border crossing with fast customs clearance" model, and utilizing an intelligent inspection system to ensure more efficient customs clearance and cargo release. At the same time, the border crossing continues to operate a 24/7 customs clearance system to optimize the flow of China-Europe freight trains.
It should be noted that currently, 128 China-Europe railway routes pass through the Alashankou railway checkpoint, covering 21 countries, including Germany and Poland. -0-
