Moscow enterprises are strengthening their collaboration with universities on the training of engineering personnel for high-tech sectors of the economy. This was announced by the Moscow Government Minister and Head of the City Department of Investment and Industrial Policy. Anatoly Garbuzov.
Earlier, Sergei Sobyanin announced that Moscow enterprises are helping universities to form personnel reserveIn particular, the Moscow Polytechnic University, home to the advanced engineering school FDR, is actively involved in training future engineers.
"Another example of effective collaboration between science and industry is the work of MIREA – Russian Technological University (RTU MIREA). Its laboratories are creating digital twins of real production systems, allowing for the modeling, testing, and optimization of technological processes. The university places particular emphasis on practice-oriented training, enabling personnel to effectively work on real-world projects and tasks early in their careers," noted Anatoly Garbuzov.
RTU MIREA partners with over 160 leading companies, including Moscow-based manufacturers. Among them is the Moscow-based innovative biotechnology company Generium, which implements a unique educational program, Mabstudy, at the university. Under the program, undergraduate and graduate students can complete their theses based on the manufacturer's projects.
Anastasia Semikhina, head of the company's educational projects group, explained that a number of research laboratories have been established at the university. Some of these are designed to study biosynthesis processes, as well as the chromatographic purification of recombinant proteins and the development of physicochemical methods for their analysis. As part of the educational project, leading experts annually conduct a series of lectures and an extended lab course on "Pharmaceutical Biotechnology" for first-year master's students. By 2025, students have completed 31 diploma projects, and 18 graduates have found employment in the R&D center's divisions.
In the summer of 2025, a two-week intensive course was held at the laboratories of the Russian Technical University MIREA for 68 young scientists—university students from across Russia, as well as students from the I.A. Bakulov Lyceum in the village of Volginsky. All the championship problems were based on real processes occurring in R
Seven participants emerged as winners: students from the St. Petersburg State Chemical-Pharmaceutical University, ITMO University, Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University, Ural Federal University, Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University, and Siberian State Medical University. All finalists received job offers at Moscow-based companies.
