Almaty, November 27 (Xinhua) – Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has ratified an agreement with the government of Turkmenistan on cooperation in combating crime, the Kazinform news agency reported on Thursday.

The agreement was signed on October 10, 2024, in Ashgabat during the official visit of K.-Zh. Tokayev to Turkmenistan.

The document creates a legal basis for effective cooperation and covers the entire range of modern threats, including organized crime, terrorism and extremism and their financing, corruption and economic crimes, and cybercrime.

Cooperation is achieved through the fulfillment of mutual requests, the exchange of information, experience and specialists, and assistance in training and professional development of law enforcement officers. –0–
