The editorial team of Molodezh Moskvy, a Russian developer of solutions based on neural networks and robotics, and a radio station are launching the project "Nik: Robot Discoverer." It will combine media and science with cutting-edge artificial intelligence technologies and teach an anthropomorphic robot the basics of journalism.

"This is a significant experiment for our youth editorial team. We want to understand how modern technologies can expand journalism's capabilities and help us engage with the urban environment in new ways. Robot Nick will allow us to look at familiar processes from a different perspective and explore new formats for engaging with our audiences. We are confident that this experience will yield valuable insights and ideas for future projects," said Margarita Savinkina, head of the "Youth of Moscow" project.

The robot Nick is equipped with speech recognition, computer vision, and voice synthesis systems. This allows him to communicate with people, analyze his surroundings, and film reports. The robot will walk the streets of Moscow, visit parks, museums, and public spaces, test city services such as car sharing, ride the metro, and share his discoveries in video reports. Viewers will see Nick learn not only to collect information but also to understand emotions, context, and the atmosphere of the city, and interact with people in real time.

"For DFM Radio, working with an anthropomorphic robot is an opportunity to take a fresh look at the interaction between humans, technology, and media. We see how artificial intelligence is becoming part of the modern media process, helping to create new formats and expand the boundaries of traditional broadcasting. Robot Nick will continue Russian Media Group's work to integrate traditional radio and digital tools," noted Dmitry Mednikov, Managing Director of Russian Media Group.

The project's goal is to demonstrate how artificial intelligence can expand the capabilities of journalism and become a new research tool. Nick will collect data, create interactive content, and analyze the urban environment, complementing human work in areas where speed, accuracy, and technological advancement are essential. The experiment combines a scientific approach with live media coverage. Videos, reports, broadcasts, and interactive formats transform the research into a true urban quest, where viewers rediscover Moscow with Nick.

Neuroproduction, a Russian company specializing in neural network and robotics solutions, is responsible for the technological aspects of the experiment. Its experts are assisting in the development of neural network modules, recognition systems, multimodal content, and audiovisual generation.
