On November 24, the winners and laureates of the "Student of the Year 2025" competition were awarded at the "Boiling Point – PromTechDesign" public space of the Saint Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design (SPbGUPTD). Among the recipients were 12 winners and 24 laureates, who distinguished themselves in science, creativity, sports, and community service.

Among the event's distinguished guests were Vladimir Knyagin, Vice Governor of St. Petersburg; Andrei Maksimov, Chairman of the Committee on Science and Higher Education of St. Petersburg; and Alexei Demidov, Chairman of the Council of Rectors of Universities of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region and Rector of St. Petersburg State University of Industrial and Technical Sciences. Our university's leadership was represented by Marina Malyutina, Vice Rector for Youth Policy.

One of the competition's winners was Sergei Voronin, a fifth-year student at the Faculty of Architecture at St. Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering (SPbGASU) and the commissioner of our university's Student Team Headquarters.

The Student of the Year Award is traditionally held under the auspices of the Committee for Science and Higher Education and the Council of Rectors of Universities of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region in 12 categories. This year, 212 students from 42 universities in the city competed for the title.
