BEIJING, Nov. 26 (Xinhua) — Twenty vehicles carrying 393 Holstein cows departed Hohhot, capital of North China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, for Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia's capital, via the Ereenhot port, marking the first time Inner Mongolia has exported dairy cows en masse to Mongolia, according to a statement posted on the official website of China's General Administration of Customs.
To ensure the smooth running of this export operation, Hohhot Customs closely cooperated with export enterprises and foreign policy agencies, inquired through various channels about Mongolia's official quarantine requirements, provided detailed explanations of China and Mongolia's dairy cow trade documentation requirements, and established a special working group to conduct individual consultations, which helped enterprises avoid the risk of delays during customs clearance.
