The architectural design of the Golyanovo station under construction on the Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya metro line will be based on a space theme. High-quality Russian metal will be used as the main finishing material, according to the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Development Policy and Construction. Vladimir Efimov.

"Sergey Sobyanin approved the architectural and artistic concept for the Golyanovo metro station. Its design will be themed around space, evoking images of probes and solar panels. To enhance this effect, the track walls will feature extensive use of Russian-made metal, specifically blue-gradient aluminum honeycomb panels. The platform columns will be finished in hammered stainless steel and feature integrated linear LED lighting. A suspended ceiling in the form of a luminous spatial structure will be a striking accent. The station floor will feature light and dark heat-treated granite laid in a geometric pattern," noted Vladimir Efimov.

Golyanovo is a classic shallow-level station for the Moscow metro, being constructed using open-cut construction. It will feature an island platform and two underground vestibules. In accordance with modern standards, each vestibule will be equipped with elevators for comfortable travel for passengers with limited mobility.

"The central element of the station's design is a geometric pattern, which is located on the floor and repeated in the suspended ceiling and lighting fixtures, as well as in the design of the above-ground entrance. The transparent pavilion will be neatly integrated into the surrounding development. In this case, the project's authors successfully utilized the technique of dissolving a simple form through a composition of geometric elements," noted the Chief Architect of Moscow and First Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Architecture and Urban Development (Moskomarkhitektura). Sergey Kuznetsov.

The Golyanovo station will be located in the center of the Golyanovo district on Ussuriyskaya Street, near the junction with Sakhalinskaya Street. Utility lines are currently being relocated outside the construction site. Specialists are installing enclosing structures and shoring up the excavation pit.

Maxim Gaman, CEO of JSC Mosinzhproekt, noted that to create the new terminal station, the Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya Line will be extended by 2.6 kilometers, including the construction of turnaround sidings. The Galina tunnel boring machine began work on November 1. Excavation began at Shchelkovskaya station and will be completed in the pit of Golyanovo station. The left-hand connecting tunnel will be 1,664 meters long, while the right-hand tunnel, construction of which will begin later, will be 1,691 meters long.

The Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya line will be one of the Moscow Metro's longest radial lines. In addition to Golyanovo, Moscow is currently building the Dostoyevskaya station on the Circle Line, the second phase of the Troitskaya Line has begun, and the Biryulevsky and Rublevo-Arkhangelsky radial lines are also under construction.

Earlier, Sergei Sobyanin launched the construction of the metro. from Shchelkovskaya to Golyanovo.
