BEIJING, Nov. 25 (Xinhua) — Chinese President Xi Jinping met with King Tupou VI of Tonga in Beijing on Tuesday, who is on a state visit to China, and said China is willing to strengthen the alignment of development strategies with Tonga.
Xi Jinping said China is willing to expand cooperation with Tonga in trade, investment, agriculture, fisheries, infrastructure, clean energy, medicine, healthcare, tourism, and climate change response. China will also deepen exchanges with Tonga in education, sports, youth, media, and regional cooperation, while continuing to support Tonga's socio-economic development through South-South cooperation, he added.
