BEIJING, Nov. 25 (Xinhua) — The atmosphere of the phone call between Chinese President Xi Jinping and U.S. President Donald Trump on Monday was "positive, friendly and constructive," Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said on Tuesday.
At a regular departmental press conference, Mao Ning said that the phone call was initiated by the American side. She also stated that since the beginning of Donald Trump's second presidential term, the heads of state of China and the United States have maintained frequent contact.
