WASHINGTON, Nov. 24 (Xinhua) — The White House said Sunday that the United States and Ukraine have developed a "refreshed and improved" peace framework during talks in the Swiss city of Geneva.
Both sides agreed to continue working on joint proposals in the coming days, according to a joint statement released by the White House. Final decisions will be made by the presidents of Ukraine and the United States.
The statement also noted that Ukraine expressed gratitude to the United States and US President Donald Trump.
Earlier on Sunday, Donald Trump lashed out at Ukraine on social media, accusing its leaders of ingratitude. "The Ukrainian leadership has shown no gratitude whatsoever for our efforts," he wrote.
Representatives from the United States, Ukraine and European countries met in Geneva on Sunday, where the White House is seeking agreement on a 28-point plan to resolve the Ukrainian crisis.
Following a meeting between the Ukrainian delegation and national security advisers from Great Britain, France, and Germany, the Ukrainian side held bilateral talks with US representatives. –0–
