BEIJING, November 24 (Xinhua) — Chinese President Xi Jinping clarified China's principled position on the Taiwan issue during a phone conversation with U.S. President Donald Trump on Monday.
Xi Jinping stressed that Taiwan's return to China is an important part of the post-war international order.
The Chinese President recalled that China and the United States once fought side by side against fascism and militarism, adding that now both countries should even more so jointly defend the results of the Victory in World War II.
