Moscow, November 24 (Xinhua) — Russia has not yet received the official text of the American plan for a Ukrainian settlement, amended following US-Ukrainian consultations in Geneva. This was stated by Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov during a briefing on Monday.
"We haven't seen any plan yet; we've read the statements following the discussions that took place in Geneva. We haven't received anything official yet," TASS quoted him as saying.
According to D. Peskov, the Kremlin has noted that some adjustments have been made to the previously submitted text of the US "peace plan," which consists of 28 points. He urged that the results of the consultations between Washington and Kyiv held in Switzerland be awaited before assessing the possible changes. "We'll wait; apparently, the dialogue is continuing. Some contacts will continue," the Kremlin spokesman added.
He also assured that Russia remains open to negotiations on the Ukrainian settlement, but there are currently no specifics regarding such contacts with the United States. "I would like to remind you that President [of Russia Vladimir] Putin said that we remain open to such contacts and negotiations. But so far, there are no specifics regarding negotiations [between the United States] and us," Peskov noted.
