Beijing, November 24 (Xinhua) — A Chinese-Russian seminar on joint personnel training under the "Russian language major" model was recently held at Heilongjiang University (Heilongjiang Province, northeast China). More than 130 experts and scholars from Chinese and Russian universities participated in the event.

According to the Heilongjiang University website, Heilongjiang University Party Committee Secretary Chi Baoxu stated that Heilongjiang Province places great importance on international cooperation and talent training, viewing it as a key area for implementing national strategy. He expressed hope that the seminar will contribute to improving the quality of training international talent for cooperation with Russia, fostering innovation in Chinese and Russian language teaching, and giving new impetus to the development of Sino-Russian relations.

During the seminar, 22 experts from Heilongjiang University, Harbin Institute of Technology, Northeast Normal University, Jiangsu Normal University, Novosibirsk State University, Far Eastern Federal University, and other Chinese and Russian universities presented reports on the topic of joint training of personnel using the "Russian language specialty" model.
