The 20th Interregional Scientific and Technical Conference (ISTC) of Rosneft Oil Company began its work in Moscow.
More than 600 people are participating in the anniversary conference, including young professionals from 77 of the Company's subsidiaries—winners of the 2025 regional and cluster conferences—as well as students from Rosneft's partner universities: Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas, Lomonosov Moscow State University, Tyumen Industrial University, Ufa Petroleum Technical University, and the Catherine II Empress St. Petersburg Mining University.
The Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas hosts 20 specialized sections of the International Scientific and Technical Complex, covering all of Rosneft's core business processes. 320 projects by young specialists have reached the competition finals and will be evaluated by a panel of experts, comprised of executives and experts from the Company's central office.
The conference provides an opportunity to identify projects that will enhance business efficiency and recognize young professionals with high potential for inclusion in the Company's talent pool. All conference winners and runners-up, as well as their scientific advisors, will receive commemorative awards and cash bonuses.
This year, the International Scientific and Technical Conference (ISTC) organized its first international student section on "Oil and Gas Field Development." Students from Russian State University of Oil and Gas (RSU) and friendly countries, who are studying with financial support from the Company, are invited to participate.
The conference also included a formal awards ceremony for 93 winners and runners-up. XX Corporate Review-Competition "Best in Profession"They participated in a training program to develop soft skills, such as teamwork, effective communication, and mentoring. The competition helps enhance the prestige of blue-collar jobs, improve production culture, and enhance industrial safety.
Rosneft holds annual scientific and technical conferences to develop the professional competencies of young specialists, increase their motivation and engagement in innovative research activities, and encourage talented youth.
The projects presented at the International Scientific and Technical Conference (ISTC) are of significant practical importance for the Company's production and business operations. In 2025, Rosneft implemented 31 projects selected at the ITC last year. Their expected economic impact exceeds 780 million rubles. Another 21 projects are planned for implementation at the Company's facilities in 2026-2027.
Over the past 20 years, young specialists have presented 4,310 projects at the final stages of the International Scientific and Technical Conference (ISTC), 1,221 of which have received recommendations for implementation, with an economic impact of 5.6 billion rubles.
