BEIJING, November 24 (Xinhua) — Chen Shifei, former deputy director of the National Medical Products Administration, has been charged with bribery, the Supreme People's Procuratorate said Monday.
The indictment was filed by the Second Branch of the Shanghai Municipal People's Prosecutor's Office, which has already forwarded Chen Shifei's case to the Second Intermediate People's Court of Shanghai.
Before the Shanghai Prosecutor's Office, the National Supervisory Commission of China conducted the investigation into Chen Shifei.
The former deputy head of the state administration is accused of abusing his official position in the interests of third parties and illegally receiving money and material assets in exchange on an especially large scale.
