Kyiv, November 22 (Xinhua) — Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Friday that the country is currently experiencing one of the most difficult moments in its history due to the 28-point peace plan handed over to it by the United States.

"The pressure on Ukraine right now is at its heaviest. Ukraine could now face a very difficult choice. Either the loss of dignity or the risk of losing a key partner. Either the difficult 28 points or an extremely difficult winter," he said in an address to Ukrainians.

V. Zelenskyy noted that next week would be eventful. He also expressed his intention to propose alternatives to the new peace plan in order to reaffirm Kyiv's commitment to resolving the conflict with Russia through diplomatic means.

On Thursday, the US delegation officially presented V. Zelenskyy with a draft of a new peace plan for Ukraine, designed to bolster diplomatic efforts.
