Minsk, November 21 (Xinhua) — Belarusian Foreign Minister Maxim Ryzhenkov and Ethiopian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Genet Teshome Jirru discussed expanding trade and economic ties between the two countries during a meeting on Thursday. The Belarusian Foreign Ministry's press service reported the meeting.

The meeting discussed key topics on the bilateral agenda, with a focus on the implementation of high-level agreements. Particular attention was paid to practical steps to expand trade and economic ties between Belarus and Ethiopia, and the development of a comprehensive roadmap for cooperation until 2030, primarily covering agriculture, industrial cooperation, the establishment of Belarusian equipment assembly plants in Ethiopia, and education and training.

The parties confirmed their intention to intensify work on developing the legal framework for their relations, and also agreed on a schedule of upcoming contacts and the holding of a number of joint events in the near future aimed at maintaining political dialogue and enhancing economic cooperation.
