Bishkek, November 20 (Xinhua) — Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, member of the Politburo of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, and Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubayev held the first meeting of the strategic dialogue of foreign ministers here on Wednesday.

Thanks to the care and support of the two heads of state, Chinese-Kyrgyz political mutual trust is continuously strengthening, and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries is developing in depth, Wang Yi noted. The establishment of a strategic dialogue mechanism is a concrete step toward implementing the consensus reached by the two heads of state, and contributes to further strengthening strategic mutual trust, enhancing strategic coordination, and stimulating strategic cooperation, he emphasized.

China supports Kyrgyzstan in accelerating its national revival and is its most trustworthy and reliable partner, Wang Yi stated. He stated that jointly building a China-Kyrgyzstan community with a shared future, characterized by good-neighborliness, friendship, and common prosperity, meets the fundamental interests of both countries and reflects the aspirations of their peoples and the common trend. China is ready to deepen contacts and cooperation with Kyrgyzstan in international affairs, as well as optimize and strengthen platforms such as the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and the China-Central Asia mechanism. China fully supports Kyrgyzstan's activities as the current SCO chair.

Zh. Kulubaev stated that Kyrgyzstan adheres to the one-China principle and will continue to firmly support China on all issues concerning its core interests, including those related to Xinjiang, Xinjiang, and Hong Kong. Kyrgyzstan is ready to work with China to develop cooperation within the Belt and Road Initiative, deepen cooperation in trade, investment, agriculture, mining, connectivity, and other areas, accelerate the construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway, strengthen humanitarian exchanges, and continually identify areas of common interest between the two sides, as well as create a favorable business environment for the development of Chinese enterprises in Kyrgyzstan.

Zh. Kulubaev also noted that Bishkek is ready to closely cooperate with Beijing to actively implement the four global initiatives put forward by the Chinese side, strengthen coordination and interaction within the UN, and promote the further development of the Central Asia-China mechanism.

Following the talks, a Joint Statement was published following the first meeting of the strategic dialogue between the Foreign Ministers of China and the Kyrgyz Republic (KR), and a Cooperation Program between the Foreign Ministries of China and the Kyrgyz Republic for 2026-2027 was signed. –0–
