HANGZHOU, Nov. 19 (Xinhua) — The 2025 Maritime Silk Road Cities Cooperation and Development Conference and the 2025 International Travel Agents Conference opened in Wenzhou, east China's Zhejiang Province, on Tuesday.

During the conference, entitled "Integration and Innovation for Mutually Beneficial Cooperation," approximately 400 participants from China, Italy, Indonesia, and other countries will discuss opportunities for joint development.

Xinhua News Agency Director-General Fu Hua said at the opening ceremony of the event on Wednesday that through the Belt and Road Initiative, China has paved the way for cooperation, shared opportunities and co-prosperity with partner countries along the Maritime Silk Road.

Looking to the future, Fu Hua assured that Xinhua will continue to promote exchanges and provide services to support cooperation in various fields between cities along the Maritime Silk Road, contributing to the high-quality joint construction of the Belt and Road.

In his speech, Liang Yimin, Chairman of the Zhejiang Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, emphasized that Zhejiang will continue to promote innovation-based cooperation and share development results with cities along the Maritime Silk Road.

The conference, which runs from November 18 to 20, is jointly organized by the Zhejiang Provincial Bureau of Xinhua News Agency, the Wenzhou Municipal People's Government, the provincial department of culture, radio, television and tourism, and other departments. –0–
