At the beginning of winter, whooper swans arrived from Siberia (Russia) to winter in the Pinglu Wetland on the Yellow River in Shanxi Province. The Pinglu Wetland in Shanxi, covering over 6,000 hectares and located on the border of Shanxi and Henan provinces, annually welcomes approximately 10,000 whooper swans for the winter.
