BEIJING, Nov. 17 (Xinhua) — Japan's recent series of outrageous statements and actions have drawn vigilance, dissatisfaction and protests from neighboring countries, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said at a daily press briefing on Monday.
On November 14, a South Korean Foreign Ministry spokesperson issued a statement protesting the Japanese government's expansion of a museum in Tokyo that showcases Japan's unfair territorial claims to the Dokdo Islands, according to media reports.
Asked to comment on the report, Mao Ning said China had taken into account relevant reports on the matter.
"We call on Japan to deeply reflect on its history of aggression, embrace the path of peaceful development, and earn the trust of its Asian neighbors and the international community through practical actions," Mao Ning said. -0-
