Islamabad, November 16 (Xinhua) — Three more people have died from dengue fever in Pakistan's southern Sindh province, bringing the total number of deaths from the disease this year to 36, the local health department reported on Saturday.
According to the department, a 50-year-old man and an 80-year-old woman died in Hyderabad, while a 55-year-old woman died in Karachi.
A total of 5,229 tests were conducted during this period, with 774 testing positive, the department reported. More than 180 patients were also hospitalized in Sindh province during the same period, while 191 were discharged after recovery.
