Dushanbe, November 16 (Xinhua) — An event to explain and promote the spirit of the 4th Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC Central Committee), titled "The 4th Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee Opens Great Opportunities for China-Tajik Cooperation," was held in Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan, on Saturday.

The event was attended by approximately 50 representatives of Tajikistan's political and media circles. Guests also visited the photo exhibition "A New Page of Wonders: Chinese-Style Modernization Through the Lens of Xinhua."

Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Tajikistan Guo Zhijun held a substantive exchange of views with the leaders of five political parties, including Aziz Giezoda, Deputy Chairman of the Majlisi Namoyandagon Majlisi Oli (lower house of parliament), Umed Abdullozoda, Deputy Chairman of the People's Democratic Party of Tajikistan, and leaders of other political parties. The two sides also jointly visited a photo exhibition.

In his speech, Guo Zhijun noted that China and Tajikistan share similar development goals, overlapping development philosophies, and enormous potential for cooperation. China stands ready to seize the opportunity presented by the successful Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee and leverage the new achievements of China's modernization to inject new impetus into Tajikistan's development, thereby facilitating the joint modernization of both countries.

Rustam Latifzoda, Chairman of the Agrarian Party of Tajikistan, noted that he has visited China multiple times and personally witnessed the enormous transformations taking place there. "China is an important investment and trade partner for Tajikistan, and a number of major projects have been implemented as part of the Belt and Road Initiative. Both sides attach particular importance to cooperation in agriculture, innovation, water resource management, and human resource training, which is fully consistent with Tajikistan's national development goals," he stated.

The photo exhibition "A New Page of Wonders: Chinese-Style Modernization Through the Lens of Xinhua" features 30 photographs. They showcase the comprehensive progress and historic achievements of China's modernization under the CPC's leadership from various perspectives, including economic, social, cultural, and environmental aspects. The exhibition is jointly organized by the Chinese Embassy in Tajikistan, the Almaty branch of Xinhua, and China Image Group.
