Dushanbe, November 14 (Xinhua) — New Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Tajikistan Guo Zhijun presented his credentials to Tajik President Emomali Rahmon at the Palace of the Nation on Tuesday.
E. Rahmon congratulated Guo Zhijun on his assumption of a responsible diplomatic post in Tajikistan and noted that Tajikistan and China are comprehensive strategic partners in the new era.
The President emphasized that Tajikistan attaches great importance to developing relations with China and is ready to strengthen cooperation with it in the areas of politics, economics and trade, transport, culture, and security, as well as to expand multilateral cooperation for the benefit of both countries and their peoples. The Tajik side is ready to provide the ambassador with all the necessary conditions to fulfill his duties in Tajikistan.
In turn, Guo Zhijun conveyed Chinese President Xi Jinping's warm greetings to President Emomali Rahmon and stated that Chinese-Tajik relations are developing soundly, steadily, and rapidly, rising to new heights of comprehensive strategic cooperation and partnership in the new era. He stated that political trust between the two countries is steadily strengthening, mutually beneficial cooperation is deepening comprehensively, and international interaction is becoming increasingly close and effective, bringing tangible benefits to both countries and their peoples.
The Ambassador emphasized that he will work with all sectors of the Tajik public to implement the important agreements reached by the heads of state, promote bilateral relations and cooperation in various fields in order to achieve more fruitful results and create a closer Chinese-Tajik community with a shared future.
