BEIJING, November 14 (Xinhua) — The country's first super-large gold deposit with reserves of 1,444 tons has been discovered in Northeast China's Liaoning Province, the Ministry of Natural Resources said on Friday.
The explored gold ore reserves at the Dadongou deposit are estimated at 2.586 billion tons, and the total gold reserves are 1,444.49 tons with an average grade of 0.56 grams per ton.
The aforementioned ministry stated that this historic discovery will significantly strengthen the country's strategic gold reserves and can contribute to the construction of a world-class gold mining base, which will support the full revitalization and high-quality development of China's northeast region.
