Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev held a working meeting with Vladislav Kuznetsov, Governor of the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug. The main topics discussed were the development of the agro-industrial complex and rural areas, as well as ensuring environmental well-being in the region.
In 2025, over 106 million rubles from the federal budget were allocated to the district for the development of the agro-industrial complex and rural areas. The funds were fully disbursed to the recipients. The region is also implementing measures under the state program "Integrated Development of Rural Areas," which provides social housing benefits and implements improvement projects.
The meeting also discussed the results of the national project "Ecology." The district received over 200 million rubles from the federal budget. As part of the national project "Environmental Well-Being," the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug is participating in three federal projects: "General Cleanup," "Circular Economy," and "Forest Preservation."
Dmitry Patrushev and Vladislav Kuznetsov focused on measures to create an effective municipal solid waste management system. This year, by order of the Russian Government, the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug was included in the list of regions eligible to enter into concession agreements for the construction of relevant infrastructure without a competitive bidding process. Dmitry Patrushev emphasized the importance of overseeing the timely construction of new facilities. The creation of modern facilities is a key step in modernizing the industry and reducing environmental impact, which is particularly important for remote areas.
