BEIJING, November 13 (Xinhua) — The 2nd China-Europe Freight Train Services Forum for International Cooperation will be held on November 18 in Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi Province, the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) said on Wednesday.
The forum, entitled "Connecting Asia and Europe for a Shared Future," will aim to build broader consensus on international cooperation through dialogue and exchange of views, ensure the safe, stable and smooth operation of China-Europe railway freight routes, and promote high-quality development in the joint implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative.
The event’s programme includes an opening ceremony and three parallel forums: “Efficient and Safe Transport”, “Development of Diversified Corridors”, and “Innovative and Integrated Development”.
This forum is one of the key international cooperation platforms designed to promote the high-quality development of China-Europe freight train services. The first such forum was held on September 15, 2023, in Lianyungang, Jiangsu Province, eastern China.
