Beijing, November 13 (Xinhua) — On Wednesday, a China-Europe freight train loaded with auto parts, household appliances, and other goods departed from Shijiazhuang International Land Port in northern China's Hebei Province bound for Moscow. This is the 1,033rd such train to depart from the port since the beginning of 2025.

According to the Hebei Daily newspaper, Shijiazhuang International Land Port has thus become the first hub platform in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region for servicing China-Europe trains, with more than 1,000 corresponding trains traveling in both directions this year.

From January to October of this year, China-Europe trains departing and arriving at the port transported a total of 99,000 standard container units (TEUs) carrying goods weighing over 1.2 million tons, valued at 10.57 billion yuan (approximately 1.49 billion US dollars). The heavy-duty trains operated efficiently in both directions.

According to Liu Jinpeng, Director General of Shijiazhuang International Land Port, the 18 international shipping lanes opened here cover the main sources of goods supply in Asia and Europe.

Outbound trains mainly carry high-value-added goods such as auto parts, machinery and photovoltaic modules, while inbound trains carry indigenous raw materials including wheat flour, sheet material and zinc ingots, effectively promoting trade and economic exchanges and industrial complementarity among countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative, he added.

According to statistics, since the launch of China-Europe freight train services at Shijiazhuang International Land Port in 2018, it has handled a total of more than 3,300 trains.
