On November 10, a delegation from the State University of Management held a working meeting with the Kherson Oblast government, the leadership of Kherson Technical University, and the V. F. Margelov volunteer unit "BARS" No. 33 to expand the region's human resources development prospects.
The meeting was attended by: Deputy Chairman of the Kherson Oblast Government Serhiy Cherevko, Acting Minister of Education and Science of the Kherson Oblast Oleksiy Grigoriev, and Minister of Youth Policy of the Kherson Oblast Vladyslav Yarchenko.
The GUU team included Vice-Rector Maria Karelina and Head of the Modern Educational Laboratory for the Aircraft, Shipbuilding, and Innovative Transport Industries Dmitry Nikitin, who focused on automated control program development and CNC system fundamentals for various machine tool technologies.
The main goal of the meeting was to facilitate interaction between the Kherson region's executive authorities and the scientific research community on training and research in the fields of industrial automation, unmanned aerial systems, electronics, and space. A key area of discussion was joint participation in the federal project "Personnel for Space" and the training of specialists of various categories for the Roscosmos State Corporation for Space Activities in the field of electronic warfare.
During the visit, the GUU delegation visited the Schastlivtsevo creative village, the residence of the Tavrida art cluster in the Kherson region on the shores of the Sea of Azov. It was created to develop the cultural community of Donbas and Novorossiya and strengthen its ties with the national cultural space. With the residence's management, the parties discussed the prospects for implementing cultural and scientific projects at the space as part of plans to collaborate with the Tavrida.ART project in creating conditions for the self-fulfillment of young professionals in the creative industries.
Following productive negotiations, the State University of Management entered into agreements with the Ministry of Youth Policy of the Kherson Oblast and the Ministry of Education and Science Policy of the Kherson Oblast, and signed a memorandum aimed at developing patriotic education for youth and scientific cooperation with the V. F. Margelov "BARS-33" volunteer unit of the Russian Ministry of Defense. These documents are aimed at implementing joint research and educational projects, as well as activities within the framework of the federal project "Personnel for Space," the national project "Youth and Children," the program for the socioeconomic development of new regions, and other initiatives based in the Kherson Oblast.
Representatives of the State University of Management presented the BARS-33 detachment with humanitarian aid collected by IEPh students as part of the "GUU – SVOim" project: consumables, camouflage nets, and trench candles made by the students. This initiative not only unites students, faculty, and staff of the university but also helps provide tangible support to those on the front lines.
